The feeling of being there

Paintings of light, memory, and place.

Jacqueline Tribou

Jacqueline Tribou is a Connecticut-based painter. She paints quiet, everyday moments—coastal scenes, flowers, streets, and people—often at the end of the day or in passing light.

Her work is rooted in observation and memory, focusing on the feeling of being somewhere rather than just what it looks like. Before returning to painting, she spent over 15 years working in art direction and graphic design, which continues to shape her sense of composition and color.

She studied at Pratt Institute, where she earned a BFA in Communication Design.
